Day 179 (Sunday June 28) - recovery hike in the woods - wildflowers!

It was raining Sunday morning when we woke up in a big way, so packing up a wet tent was quite the experience!

Although it was raining most of the morning while we were up in New Hampshire, it finally stopped by the time we rolled into our house mid afternoon. I headed out for a hike just to recover from the previous day's efforts, and along the way to the 90mm missile site, I found some gorgeous flowers. The orange ones apparently are pretty common in people's yards, and it probably germinated as a stowaway from the neighborhood. But it was striking to see it all by itself in the wild.
