The bad thing is that we had lots of flats and other sordid mechanicals. I did not manage to evade the contagion and had my own flat tire out back due to a slice on the Ardent tires and a lack of Stan's fluid in the tire.
If you ride a 29er mountain bike with wide rims (like the Ibis 941s that I run), I can unequivocally recommend: do not buy Maxxis Ardent 2.4 tires!
