Day 5 - January 5 - hike in the woods

I have a love (a little) and hate (a lot) relationship with Strava. Great for collecting data, and boy do those KOMs and achievements suck the fun out of mountain biking. For walking and hiking, it is nice to see how far you walked and where you went.

So here is the link to my first Strava recording of this blog from this morning's walk with my lovely wife, Anita.

Anita spotted the really nice light in between the trees near one of the reservoirs in the Fells:

And shortly after that spotting we checked out a puddle in the process of being frozen:

And I really enjoyed these rocks that looked like they just tumbled into the frozen reservoir.

Unfortunately, we were not able to capture a tree the woods that we witnessed crashing to the ground due to the high winds at the end of our walk!

About the photos: these are RAW images taken with Sony's A6000 compact mirrorless camera and the excellent Zeiss 16-70mm zoom lens. All the photos were post processed in Apple Aperture.
